This document is designed to support individuals and families who are newly navigating a Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) diagnosis.

It is grounded in lived experience and practical guidance, with an emphasis on stabilization, education, emotional processing, and sustainable family systems.

 

Each section represents one foundational step. While presented sequentially, these steps often overlap and evolve over time. It is normal to feel overwhelmed at this point, but you are not alone here.

5-Session Virtual Coaching Package

Dr. Jessica Turcat directly works with parents to help them "Calm the Chaos" in their T1D Family. Topics include: setting up predictable systems and routines, developing emotional regulation and nervous system support, strengthening communication and connection within the family, grief processing and physical restoration, establishing long-term sustainability plans, and much more.

 

Private virtual coaching sessions are 45 minutes per session.

These are scheduled on a weekly basis directly with Dr. Jessica Turcat.

Private In-home T1D Family Coaching Experience

Dr. Jessica Turcat works directly with parents in their home environment to help T1D families move from constant overwhelm toward steadiness, confidence, and sustainable care. This private coaching experience is designed to support families where life actually happens—at the kitchen table, during routines, and in the moments that matter most.

Thrive at Home is offered as a private, in-home coaching experience with scheduling arranged directly with Dr. Jessica Turcat. Each coaching experience is personalized to the family’s needs, pace, and stage of their T1D journey.
